important information

Greetings to our 3rd, 6th and 9th Grade Parents!

I hope you have all enjoyed your summer break. Our school offices are now back open and preparing for the start of our new school year. Our new teachers will begin next Monday, and all our staff will return on August 1st.

As I have mentioned in previous emails, texts, the newspaper, and social media posts, we are doing a residency audit this year. All 3rd grade, 6th grade, and 9th grade students must provide proof of residency prior to school starting.

At this time, only 43% of 3rd grade students, 50% of 6th grade students, and 48% of 9thgrade students have been verified, with only two weeks to go before Open House. Only students who have been verified will receive a schedule and homeroom assignment!

If you have already taken care of this obligation, thank you and please disregard this notice. If you have not, please take care of this as soon as possible to avoid not being able to meet your child’s teacher at Open House and delaying the start of school for your child.

The following documentation will be accepted:
• Mortgage statement, current lease/rental agreement (will be verified), or current utility bill (gas, water, or electric only)

If you do not have any of the above methods to prove your residency, please call 706-743-8128 to schedule an appointment to review the residency affidavit and to complete the necessary paperwork. The residency affidavit is valid for one year only.

The proof of residency document can be dropped off at your child’s school anytime between 8:00 am and 3:30 pm, or you may click a link below to enter your information and upload a copy of your proof of residency.

If you have students in more than one grade, please click the link for each child’s grade level, as the forms will be directed to different schools.

Again, please call us if you have any questions, as we would like for all our students to be ready for the first day of school!

Sincerely,
