Welcome to the Oglethorpe County School System's Human Resources Department website. We appreciate your interest in employment with our system and hope you find the resources below helpful. We announce all certified position vacancies on the Teach Georgia website and post all positions on our application website, and the home page of the system website. Please note that all employees, community coaches, and system volunteers will require criminal history background checks and will assume mandated reporter responsibilities per our BOE polices and state and federal regulations. Employment Information
Certified Applicants: Oglethorpe County School District utilizes the Teach Georgia website to announce available certified positions within the district. Please apply for a desired position through our Applitrack system. Please do not contact the administration of individual schools pertaining to securing employment within the district. Employment questions should be directed to District Operations at 706-743-8128.
Classified Applicants: Classified applications for transportation, maintenance, custodial, nutrition, technology, paraprofessional, substitute teacher, and clerical positions are available on our Applitrack system.
All Applicants: Those individuals without access to the internet will be able to apply at the Board of Education Central Office. The GCIC Background Check and Disclaimer forms are available in the Employment Forms section as well. The completed application, disclaimer form, GCIC background check form, and a copy of the unexpired driver's license should be submitted to the Central Office either by mail, or in person. Please call the Oglethorpe County Board of Education at 706-743-8128 should you need assistance using the Applitrack system.
*SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS are required to have a substitute teaching certificate of training. Sign up for In-person or Online substitute training by visiting the following links:

Regular teacher substitute pay is $75 per day. Long term certified teacher substitute pay is $100 per day.
*PARAPROFESSIONALS must present a transcript documenting at least two successful years of college and/or a GAPSC issued paraprofessional certificate.
*BUS DRIVERS will be trained by the system in order to obtain the necessary CDL Driver's License. Please do not contact the supervisors of individual departments pertaining to securing employment within the district. Employment questions should be directed to District Operations, at 706-743-8128.
